About
Fablefaine is a boutique location agency bringing Britain's most magnificent and exclusive properties to brands, film crews and retreat organisers.
The joy of stories
We take our name from the Old English words Fable, meaning story and Faine, meaning 'to be delighted in; to rejoice'. That's the heartbeat of Fablefaine: we rejoice in storytelling. You, too, can tell evocative stories with our list of curated properties.
Beautiful spaces for elevated storytelling
You can hire any of Fablefaine's spectacular locations for your brand photoshoots, TV/film shoots, retreats, and glorious gatherings.
We specialise in rural properties, with a focus on heritage buildings and idyllic landscapes.
Our listings ledger includes places you won't find anywhere else, from fairytale gardens and gypsy caravans to ancient manors, storybook cottages, and countryside idylls.
Earn income from your beautiful property or location
Whether you own a period property or a breathtaking location, Fablefaine makes it easy to earn extra money from it. Brands, film crews, and retreat organisers are seeking splendid locations like yours to hire for their creative work.
Find out more about listing with usMeet the Founders
Helen and Kate are two sisters who share a love for the beauty and stories of the past. Inspired by the 'spirit of place' championed by the Romantic movement, they founded Fablefaine to celebrate the unique character and eccentricity of Britain's special places.
Kate Cullen
Kate has worked in the creative industries for well over a decade, both as a photoshoot stylist and in more recent years as a photographer. She also is one third of Poetica Lane, a brand agency offering website design, photography and business consultancy. As a former archaeologist, she has a deep appreciation for old buildings and evocative landscapes, volunteering as a photographer for the Save Britain's Heritage charity. She is a strong advocate for environmentally sustainable practices and supporter of heritage crafts.
Helen Thorne
Helen has just left a 25-year career in sales and marketing to pursue her dream - the renovation of a dilapidated doomsday manor in mid-Devon. Fablefaine combines Helen's history degree with her love of ancient buildings and places and the great outdoors. It captures the human story, the fable, the folklore, and the connection we have to place that evolves over centuries. She is a voracious reader of historical fiction and non-fiction, and is in the very early stages of writing her own novel.
Our Ethos
Unearth the stories behind Fablefaine's special places, the creatives who book them, and the people who call them ‘home'.
